It would be rare for anyone not to be exposed to cancer either as a patient or an affected relative or friend. Cancer Research UK Guernsey has, with your support, one aim:
"Together We Can Beat Cancer"
Every pound raised in Guernsey goes to fund research in a highly respected laboratory at Southampton University where significant advances in cancer research are achieved. The majority of local cancer patient referrals are made to Southampton so that they, along with UK sufferers, can benefit from the advances made at this and other CRUK sponsored laboratories.
The last 10 years have seen incredible advances in the causes, prevention and treatment of cancers leading to significant improvements in life expectancy and well-being. The progress made in immunotherapy, genetics, vaccinations and Artificial Intelligence are paving the way to a future of improved prevention and less toxic treatments. Without donations we cannot make this difference, but together we ARE making real life changes for the benefit of us all.
